Castle College produced its best ever results in Further Maths A Level with students gaining a staggering 11 grade A*’s in their results this year. The new A* grade has been introduced to enable Universities to recognise the very top students, who need to average over 90% on the harder papers for this new grade. The class, many of whom are from Vietnam, collected 11 A*'s, 6 A's, 3 B's, 1 C and 1 D between them to go alongside the 18 A*'s and 6 A's in the Mathematics A Level that they have also obtained.
Congratulations were the order of the day at Castle College as the number of students gaining an A Level pass increased yet again. The overall pass rate this year was 95.9% compared to 94.5% last year with 19% of students receiving an A* grade. The College achieved 100% pass rates in 69% of subjects. Congratulations to all our A Level students and staff for their hard work.
Results for GCE / Extended Project and level 3 principal learning will be issued on Moodle and available for collection from Beeston Campus on 19/08/2010.
