Additional Learning Support

You may need some extra help whilst you are studying at college. The Learning Support Team provides a wide range of services for students attending courses. The staff can help you with your individual needs by arranging assessment by specialist teachers, providing extra teaching, the loan of equipment and personal support.

Here are some more details about the different ways Learning Support can help you achieve your chosen course.

You can have:

  • Support to develop Literacy, Language and Numeracy skills.
  • Assessment and tuition for dyslexia and dyspraxia.
  • Assessment for exam concessions.

We also provide:

  • Support for disabled students.
  • Sensory support including assessment of needs, BSL interpreting and provision of adapted materials.
  • Support for students with Asperger syndrome or Autism
  • Support for students with emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Support for students with short term or long term medical conditions.
